One thing I love about summer is how easy it is to put together an outfit – a summer dress, cute sandals and a pair of sunnies and you’re set. No more mucking about with corresponding jackets, boots AND shoes, mittens, scarves, a hat… the list goes on, and I’m tired just thinking about it.
Come summer though, and the living is easy. Scroll down to find out my four steps to summer outfit success!
Step 1: Jumpsuit/Romper/Maxi/Sundress
The options are endless, and so is the price range. You can find a cute sundress for under $20 these days!
My jumpsuit is from Forever 21 and was only $49 – It is sold out now, but I linked similar HERE.
Step 2: Sandal
I got mine from Lulus.com, although the exact style is gone now. They have a ton of denim sandal options though! CLICK HERE!
Step 3: Long, lariat necklace or choker
Mine is by a Calgary designer, Made By Jemily. CLICK HERE to shop her designs!
Step 4: Sunnies!!
My favourite way to pull together an outfit in the summer (and hide your hangover!), as there are so many cool, different styles these days! The best part is that they can be so inexpensive, you can have 50 pairs without feeling guilty (or at least, that’s what I told myself last weekend after buying pairs 51 and 52).
These mirrored aviators are from Tobi.com and were only $20. CLICK HERE
And VOILA! A cute and casual summer look, no muss, no fuss. Is it the most unique and original outfit? No! But does it always need to be? In my opinion, also no. Sometimes, the easy way is the best way, am I right?
