I struggled with the title of this blog for approximately 8 minutes, because I was POSITIVE there was a pun in there somewhere, along the lines of “kimo-yes” instead of “kimo-no”… feel me? Anyways, it didn’t work out, but this look really did (in my opinion) and thus inspired me to write (and by write I mean it inspired me to buy like 76 more kimonos and THEN write) about my favourite kimonos and how to wear them.
4 Kimonos, 4 Ways
- Boho chic – SheIn, $20 – This is the kimono I am wearing in this look! I;ve paired it with rompers and summer dresses (in solid colours) and it such a simple way to dress up a look without too much effort. Also, the yellow colour inspired me to pair it with this braided headband I got from Zara years ago (but have never figure out how to wear) so, win-win! PLUS, that price-point is just too good.
2. Dressed-up, night out – Nordstrom, $65 – Pair this with an LBD on date night or girls night, and you look effortlessly chic, while still on trend. I also love a good kimono for when Im not feeling overly confident about my body; they provide good coverage, without sacrificing style.
3. Classic, causal brunch style – Vici Collection, $65 – Plain white tee, jeans/jean shorts, sandals and this kimono. That is all. #SimpleStyle
4. Beachy. but fabulous – Zaful – $20 – If you don’t have a sheer kimono like this for the beach (or anytime. really) you are missing out! I’ve also thrown this style over a solid colour maxi dress or sundress, to add a little texture and fun. I
JUST BECAUSE I’M OBSESSED – Artizia, $75 (on sale) – Is it pajamas? A jacket? A long cardigan? I don’t know, all I know is that this menswear-inspired style is fabulous and like 60% off right now so… Thanks, Aritizia.
